Shoe tree kicks off trip to Southwest

On our first day of a road trip to the southwest USA, we passed this shoe tree just north of Reno, Nevada and had to turn around and see it up close. So, why do folks hang their shoes from a tree? Anyone know?

  1. I don’t know.anything about that. particular shoe tree, buy wh have our own in the front yard. They’ve been dug up from Blaze”s shenanigans and now they’re nailed up to the pole in the yard.

  2. So we’ll smile and wonder “why do people put shoes in trees”?
