Camino in France – A Magical Village

Day 12 & 13 – Golinhac to Conques

The sun rises in Golinhac, France.

We caught the Compostel bus to the village of Conques this morning (Thursday) where we will spend the next two nights. The timing of our scheduled rest day was perfect for Reg. Well rested (both of us), we’re eager to get back on the trail. It looks like we will resume walking Saturday.

It’s easy to see why Conques is considered one of the most beautiful villages in France. We dropped our packs at our hotel and our next stop was lunch. Fresh vegetables are rarely offered at our meals, so the choice of a salad was irresistible.

Lunch in Conques.
Dinner on the terrace.
The sun sets on another day.
