The good news was throughout last night’s torrential Minnesota rain and distant thunder, our trailer (yet to be named) kept us warm and dry. The bad news was the pesky shower leak was not fixing itself. Several days ago, Reg noticed a slow drip that created a puddle under the drainpipe. There’s always something.

With 2 1/2 months of campsite reservations ahead of us, we didn’t have any wiggle room to get on a waiting list for dealer/warranty repairs. Reg, never one to sit and twiddle his thumbs, made a quick phone call to a Minneapolis Rockwood dealer to plead our case. A second phone call to Marv at Long Prairie’s PleasureLand RV (I know, it sounds like an adult store) yielded pay dirt. “Bring it in, we’re just 30 minutes down the road,” he said. So we did, thrilled to not have to face the big city.

The solution was an easy fix and covered by warranty. We were able to return to our Lake Carlos campsite and enjoy the gorgeous weather that followed the previous night’s rain.
