Adventures In Great Britain-Pubs

We flew out of Rome on Monday, landing in London for the night. The culture shock was immediate, and so was the desire to eat something other than pizza or pasta. We got settled in our tiny room just down the street from Kings Cross Station, then went hunting for an authentic pub with traditional food. The Lucas Arms was perfect.

Steak and Ale Pie, buttery mash and peas.
We’re not in Italy anymore.

The next morning we caught the train to York where we’ll be for a week. Our plan is to rest up before our next walk along The Cotswold Way. And maybe eat in a few more pubs.

Welcome to Blighty, Reg and Sue. Pubs seem quite popular with America. FYI, one of your countrymen recently voted a ‘Yorkie Bar’ his favourite chocolate. Try one and judge for yourselves.

You two are role models to us all. So damn proud of you. Do all you can while you can. Happy trails
