The next stop of our continuous traveler adventure is Emigrant Lake, just a few miles south of our former home.

We continue to camp out in Southern Oregon while the last “loose end” issue is completed. We opted to keep our Oregon residency (for now) for a variety of reasons, but lacked a necessary Oregon mailing address. After Reg made numerous phone calls to a variety of agencies and businesses, we chose to contract with an Ashland mail service that will receive and record what little snail mail is delivered to us.

In an effort to avoid future confusion, we updated our driver licenses and are awaiting their delivery to our new mailing address, potentially a 20 day wait. Interestingly, while the Department of Motor Vehicles will accept and deliver to that address, it is not acceptable as a printed address on our new licenses. Our official address under each of our names will read “Continuous Traveler.” Not a big deal, except continuous traveler licenses are not recognized (or able to be issued as) a Real ID. Therefore, they are useless as identification for U.S. flight purposes…something we weren’t told until the clerk had already punched a hole in our old Real ID licenses. Sheesh!

Meanwhile, as we await delivery, there is much fall color to enjoy in Southern Oregon.

I am sure we will plan other fun trips for 2026 but not decided yet..maybe a part of the Francigena.. take care !!! Hopefully the rain does not keep you too much in your RV…
