Hop, Skip And Jump

We left Mount Thielsen, an Oregon
landmark, behind as we set off on our big summer adventure.

With Mount Thielsen in the rear view mirror, we began a hop, skip and jump series of one-night-stands as we traveled farther north, closer to the spot where the real fun begins.

  • Our first stay at La Pine State Park was a success.
  • Plymouth Campground, an Army Corp of Engineers park, was an unexpected surprise, in Washington.
  • Our Spokane KOA site was a nice one in a rather overcrowded park.
  • We loved quirky Beaver Tail Hill State Park in Montana.

We hit the jackpot in Roundup, Montana at Cowbelles County Park. An uncrowded free-for-all sort of a setup where we tried out several “sites” before finding a level spot that allowed us to remain hitched up overnight. Reg dropped $20.00 in the donation box, as payment.

Tuesday we will enter North Dakota, a new state for us and home to Theodore Roosevelt National Park. We’ve heard it is not to be missed, so we have planned accordingly with a three-night stay in nearby Sully Creek State Park, giving us two full days to explore. This is where the real fun begins. You’re invited to come along!

      Yes, Chris and Gail get married June 15! Yay!! Our trailer is 26 feet and makes great use of space. I think we’ll be home in mid-August after tootling around Canada. You and Smiley have a wonderful trip.

        So exciting about the wedding. Enjoy. Our trailer is 26 feet too. We love the two doors it has like yours. The space inside is wonderful and enough for us, our two dogs and two grandkids when we take them. They love it and call it the “Little House.” At Christmas the grandkids gave me a fun set to put together of a little trailer and all the accessories. I think we will all go to the Grand Canyon next spring. WE are getting so excited about our Alaska adventure. It should be interesting camping part of the way out of a Subaru with our three dogs. Our trailer has spoiled us. Who knows we could see you in Canada!
