Terra Nova was established in 1957 as the first National Park of Newfoundland and Labrador. Located on the northeast coast, it was our destination for the next three nights. We left the west coast behind and settled in for the drive, noting the many roadside moose warnings.

We made a quick stop at Eastport Beach and watched a handful of young folks run out into the water. It must have been warm(ish), they were having a blast.
Before traveling on, we took one last national park hike up Ochre Hill where the view extended for miles.
The following morning we were moving on. This time to an urban campground in St. John’s, Newfoundland’s capital and largest city. Not sure what to expect…
