Tapping Our Inner Child

Reg and I have always poo-poohed this “must see” attraction near Port Orford on Oregon’s Coast. However, I think we always knew it wasn’t a matter of “if” we’d buy the tickets and take the tour, but “when.” As we drove by on a dreary morning, Reg decided to stop for a photo. One thing led to another and we soon found ourselves wandering through the rainforest, ducking and hiding as life-sized dinosaurs threatened us around every bend in the trail.

After a quick photo, we found ourselves on a dinosaur safari through the
Prehistoric Gardens rain forest.

Our adventure proved to be great fun as we followed the dinosaur tracks through the rain forest. Younger kids will love the variety and size of the dinosaurs. Each is accompanied by an informational board so there is plenty of opportunity for fun and learning throughout the walk.

The Prehistoric Gardens, founded in 1955, is a roadside attraction treasure. By now, it’s been visited and enjoyed by generations. Isn’t it time you tap your inner child too?

Good for you. It’s never too late to have fun. There is a goofy kid in each of us. Happy dino hunting.

    1. We could almost hear these roar as we wandered through. We’ll have to put Fort Worth on our list!
