Walking from Woolacombe to Braunton, we passed long stretches of white sand beaches.

This portion of coastline boasts some popular surfing spots.

We also carefully skirted the perimeter of an active military installation where the popping of gunfire urged us on.

I don’t think I will be paddling out anytime soon! TOO COLD! Beautiful spot though. Wow I wonder if Grandpa was ever there training. I see it looks like a slight reprieve from the rain, Joe

Walking from Ilfracombe to Woolacombe was one of my favourite stretches ! Did you go round Baggy Point too? We nearly got blown off it!
