We’ve been in historic York, England for the week, sleeping in (me) while Reg rises early and waits to make our morning coffee. To orient ourselves we opted for the 2-mile City Wall Walk on our first full day. The Micklegate Bar, just down the street from our apartment, was a convenient starting point.

The walls are said to be the longest medieval town walls in England. There were a few gaps that required street walking, but for the most part we followed the wall, ending where we started – at the Micklegate Bar.
